An extremely popular rose with over 100 million international sales by 1992. Peace has large flowers of a light yellow to cream color, slightly flushed at the petal edges with crimson-pink. Flowers continuously until the mid to late autumn. Hardy and vigorous and relatively resistant to disease.
Created 3 months before Hitler invaded France. Sent to the US on the last place leaving France, from which it was keep alive in test beds until it's official release in 1945. By coincidence, on the day the rose was named Peace, Berlin was to surrender only hours later.
